Maine Huts and Trails was recently named as Maine's best hut-to-hut adventure by Yankee Magazine's editors' Choice and Flagstaff Hut was also noted as Maine's best lakeside lodging in the same editors' choice editorial (April 2011). Currently, Maine Huts and Trails offer 30 miles of trail corridor and three full-services lodges spaced a one days hike or ski, apart from one another. During the winter, trails are groomed for both classic and skate cross country skiing. There are also miles of un-groomed snowshoe trails around each hut. During the spring, summer and fall, the trails are available for hiking and mountain biking.
