Shawnee Peak, located in Bridgton, Maine, has more than 44 trails with over 23 intermediate areas offering excellent family skiing and snowboarding.
The Ski School is staffed by 125 full and part-time ski and snowboard instructors who offer lessons during both the day and the night. Kids between the ages of four and twelve can take part in the children's programs such as Skiwee, Junior Mountaineers, and Miniriders. Private lessons are available from age three and up.
Shawnee Peak boasts the most nighttime skiing in Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont. For six nights out of the week, skiers and riders can glide through fresh powder on 19 of the 40 trails. Nighttime skiing is open seven days a week during holiday periods! During high-traffic times, at 4pm, more than 75% of the night skiing terrain is manicured with the Afternoon Groom.
